Renee Jones

I fell in love with creating when I was in high school. I have always had an amazing support system, people who are supportive of my creativity that helped me to thrive as a budding “maker”. They have made me the person I am today.

After graduating from University of the Arts in 2005 with a degree in Crafts, I worked for a jeweler for a short while. I remember feeling discontent and was compelled to branch out and find a job that encompassed art and helping others. I went back to school and became an Occupational Therapist. Since then I have been working with children in hospitals and schools. All the while, I have continued to find inspiration in creating. I like to work in many mediums (jewelry, sewing, painting, weaving, drawing) but sewing has really captured my heart! The first thing I ever sewed was my wedding dress, and since then I’ve been hooked!

Creating things makes me feel happy, alive, motivated, and successful...It's the perfect remedy to make a good day GREAT and a bad day into PERFECTION.
