Renee Jones

I fell in love with creating when I was in high school. I have always had an amazing support system, people who are supportive of my creativity that helped me to thrive as a budding “maker”. They have made me the person I am today.

After graduating from University of the Arts in 2005 with a degree in Crafts, I worked for a jeweler for a short while. I remember feeling discontent and was compelled to branch out and find a job that encompassed art and helping others. I went back to school and became an Occupational Therapist. Since then I have been working with children in hospitals and schools. All the while, I have continued to find inspiration in creating. I like to work in many mediums (jewelry, sewing, painting, weaving, drawing) but weaving and embroidery  has really captured my heart!

Creating things makes me feel happy, alive, motivated, and successful...It's the perfect remedy to make a good day GREAT and a bad day into PERFECTION.
