Upcycled Bachelorette Dress

Upcycled Bachelorette Dress

When I got a custom order to repurpose a dress that was used for a Bachelorette Party I was immediately excited. I knew this dress meant a lot of my customer, it was celebrating a new milestone in her life. What better way to remember the past and celebrate the present than to bring those awesome memories she had wearing the dress into her present day! She also asked if I could incorporate this necklace into the clutch.     I gathered my tools and got to work! I started by removing the zipper, I had originally planned to work...

Carry Your Memories With You

Carry Your Memories With You

East and Market loves up cycling for so many reasons...it reduces waste, the material has history and a story, it creates a one of a kind item...but I feel the most important pieces I have up cycled have been material that is significant to my life, materials that make me feel sentimental. Now, I know nothing about restoration, so I enlisted some...

Reuse, Recycle & Revive: Our Global responsibility

Posted by Renee Jones on

East and Market is dedicated to decreasing our carbon footprint on the environment. We want to reduce the amount of waste we personally have the potential of creating as a business. Recent surveys have found that the average person in America throws away approximately 70 pounds of clothing a year! 70 POUNDS!!! Our Fast Fashion habits really do contribute to filling up those landfills for sure! I know I am guilty of this! It’s so easy to run into the nearest store and grab a shirt for a night out that I may never wear again. The United States E.P.A....
